If you notice any of the following problems with your system, call the professionals to handle it. This will save you expensive repairs in the future.   ## **The Zoom, pan and Tilt Functions are not Working** A camera that no longer responds to the remote, even after you change the batteries has an obvious problem. Contact a CCTV surveillance company to diagnose the problem. Movable parts of any machine require periodic servicing and cameras are no different. Dirt and dust may be the culprits.   ## **Video Footage is Hazy** The most common reason for this is that the lens has lost focus and needs to be adjusted. You might try to do it yourself if you know how to and if the camera is within easy reach. The best alternative, though, would be to let the professionals handle it. There is also a possibility that the lens needs to be cleaned. Whatever the cause, the surveillance company will investigate and fix it.   ## **You Cannot get Remote Footage** Has the feed to your mobile phone suddenly stopped? The first action would be to check your internet signal. If that is okay and yet you still cannot get footage, then you have a technical problem that needs professionals to solve. Call first and let them determine if they need to send someone or if they can talk you through the process. You might be asked to try a few fixes, and if they fail, then a team will be sent to help.   ## **Motion Sensors Are Not Responding** Motion sensor cameras are supposed to turn on whenever there is a movement within the range of the sensors. They should also turn off if there is no motion sensed after some time. If your camera is not functioning in, either way, you need to have it checked. Sometimes you may not notice for a while that this is happening, that is why routine checks are necessary. Checking such functions can be included during maintenance.   ## **The footage is On and Off** If you realize the footage is not constant, this could be due to several faults, and you may need to investigate before you call the surveillance company. Sometimes it could be a result of bad weather, so monitor when that seems to happen, it could be interference in the internet connection caused by reduced bandwidth, or there could be a problem with the cameras, and they need to be checked. Usually, the professionals will ask you a few questions to eliminate particular possibilities before they come to check what might be wrong physically. This is a problem that needs to be fixed as soon as possible.   ## **Importance of Regular CCTV Maintenance** Regular inspection and maintenance can save you the cost of significant repairs. CCTV surveillance companies can tailor maintenance services to suit your need. If you haven’t carried out maintenance or inspection and your cameras seem to display any of the above faults, you should contact the professional to carry out an inspection.
